Is there a way to climb up a stair?

A new map is created each time the character enters a new dungeon level, and it is stored in the same place the map of the old level was also stored. So to answer your question: no, there is no way to enter a previous level.

The other Lost Labyrinth written in PureBasic has persistent dungeon levels, as far as I know.
